Again, a few months ago, it was revealed that hackers stole the data of more than 5 million users.

According to the BBC, Alon Gal of the cybercrime firm Husson Rock stated that the information of more than 200 million users was stolen.

Bleeping Computer confirmed the leak by stating that it had downloaded the data. The famous technology site reported that their e-mail addresses fit many Twitter profiles. However, he added that not all of the data has been verified, and that there are too many users not seen in the leak. In addition, it was stated that the duplicate data was also downloaded.

Addressing the Twitter reports on the subject, he stated that there was no evidence that it was obtained from a system-based vulnerability.

In August, the company confirmed that the data leak affecting more than a million% Twitter users was caused by threat actors that exploited a vulnerability that was fixed in January 2022.

He added in the Twitter statement that it is also communicating with the Data Protection Authorities and other relevant data regulators regarding the alleged incidents.
