Microsoft Power BI Pro : Power BI; It is the full version that offers both creating dashboards and reports, and unlimited viewing, sharing, or use of reports shared by others. It can also be used with Power BI Desktop. The biggest difference from the free version; you have the option and ability to share data, reports, dashboards with many other users who also have Power BI Pro license. The Pro plan costs around $9.99 per user. Users are given the opportunity to try this subscription free of charge for 60 days before purchasing it. These costs and the number of trial days are valid as of the date of this article and may vary.
Microsoft Power BI Premium : If the number of users who will access the reports we will create on Power BI is very high, for example, more than 500, or situations where on-prem should be used instead of cloud service (such as being subject to regulations about going to the cloud) are mentioned. subject, Premium license can be preferred.

How Power BI Desktop Works

When we run the software after installation, the following screen will greet us.
On this screen, we can get data from a different source, open the sources we used before, or open the Power BI format pbit or pbix format files that we saved before by saying "Open other reports". Let's continue by saying Get Data.
When we come to the get data part, we are greeted by an area where we can get data from many sources. If we want here, an Excel document from the File section; We can connect a SQL server database by selecting a database, or we can pull data from a Platform or Azure. In the Online Services area, we can pull data from many online services such as Dynamics 365. In this example, we will connect a data over the Web by selecting the other option.
