Data transfer abroad within the scope of the Law on Protection of Personal Data has been an issue that has not been clarified since 2016, that is, since the law was published in the official gazette. The determination of the safe countries to which personal data will be transferred has not yet taken place. However, in order to clarify the matter related to the transfer of personal data abroad, the Board made a statement that it would not cause a problem if the Commitment was filled out and she approved the transfer of data abroad. Because, according to the Law, data transfer is also considered as a data processing and data processing is also one of the actions that must be done in accordance with the law.

In this direction, the Board; He stated that if the undertaking is filled out and then the Board deems the method to be transferred and the measures taken appropriate, the data transfer abroad can take place without the need for express consent. In the announcement made by the board on 4 March; Amazon Turkey Retail Services Ltd. Şti. and Amazon Turkey Management Support Services Ltd. Şti.'s applications for Commitment have been accepted by the Board.
