The Personal Data Protection Board, upon a request for an opinion, stated that the same natural person can be designated as the contact person for more than one data controller residing abroad at the same time.

The basis of the opinion is that the contact person has separate responsibilities for data controllers within and outside the Republic of Turkey, and that the person to be appointed by data controllers abroad has the duty to perform VERBIS registration.
