AT&T has confirmed that the personal data of nearly 70 million of its former and current customers was leaked to the Dark Web. This leak, which dates back to 2019, compromised sensitive information such as social security numbers, passwords, and dates of birth. The company notified affected customers and began taking measures such as password resets. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has updated its data breach notification rules to prevent similar incidents. AT&T warns its customers to be careful and take precautions.
