How Does Google Chrome Know What You Want to Search on the Internet?

Run Google Chrome (or any other Chromium-based browser like Microsoft Edge or Brave) and start typing any letter or word in the address bar.

The browser starts to show you something. And you'll find that it's not just random results.

It's like he knows us. Indeed it is. He knows you more than you.

But how does this happen? How does the browser know what to show you?

You have to part the curtains to be able to see out the window.

Chromium curtains have a setting that allows you to part, peek and catch a glimpse of what's going on.

To see what's going on, type the following in Google Chrome's browser bar and hit enter.

chrome://omnibox/

Note: This varies with other Chromium browsers. For example, use edge://omnibox/ for Microsoft's Edge variant and brave://omnibox/ for Brave.

As you can see in the image below, there are many settings options.

If you start typing a frequently visited URL or a letter, the browser will show you much more details, such as when you last visited and how often.

You will notice that your browser has quite a long memory.

There are many more features available to you when you open the curtains embedded in Chrome and other Chromium browsers.

To see all internal links offered by the browser;
chrome://chrome-urls/ Type into the browser bar.

There are many features above that will keep you busy.

E.g;

Conclusion:

Institutions like Google follow you, collect information about you, and at the end of the day, they know you very well. This actually turns into algorithms that somehow process your personal data. You experience and feel emotions that your data has been breached. If you want to turn the algorithms that make you feel this way and cause you to live in your favor, you need to open the curtains to know the invisible in the visible. Thus, while they get to know you, you can get to know them well and even reach deep conclusions about yourself and improve yourself.
