CyberArts CEO Erdem Eriş: The Damage Caused By Cyber Crime Could Increase To 10 Trillion Dollars

In parallel with our integration into the digital age, cyber attacks are constantly increasing. It is estimated that the damage to be caused by cybercrime will reach 10 trillion dollars in the near future.

Cyber ​​security; It has become a more important issue for public institutions, companies and organizations every year. Due to cyber attacks, institutions and companies can frequently encounter information, prestige and financial losses. The cyber security processes of institutions and organizations doing business in the digital world should be regularly reviewed and audited by both internal and external auditors.

Studies on reducing and neutralizing the security risks encountered in our country, and protecting and ensuring the security of critical data that may threaten national security or lead to disruption of public order, especially when their confidentiality, integrity and accessibility are impaired, gained legal ground with the Information and Communication Security Measures Circular of the Presidency.

CyberArts, our consultant/integrator company, which set out with the aim of constructing sustainable cyber security strategies by subjecting domestic cyber security technologies to positive discrimination for institutions that demand art rather than mediocrity in the cyber world, was created by the Turkish Standards Institute to carry out the audits of the Information and Communication Security Guide of the Presidency Digital Transformation Office. He passed the audits of the “Information and Communication Security Guide Compliance Audit Service Personnel and Firm Certification Program” and received his certificate.'' He said.

The duration of the audit varies according to the size of the institution and information assets.

Erdem Eriş emphasized the importance of conducting audits by auditors authorized by TSE in order to achieve the targeted gains from the Information and Communication Security Guide, and continued as follows: It is carried out with authorized lead auditors in the fields of application security (D2).

Being a critical infrastructure operator; All institutions and organizations operating in the Electronic Communications, Energy, Water Management, Transportation, Finance and Public sectors are required to carry out their audit activities and submit their audit reports to DDO until 31.12.2022. Only district municipalities and district governorships are not included in the 2022 inspection program.

The duration of the audit takes place between 4-12 weeks, considering the size of the institution and the information assets to be included in the scope. The Information and Communication Security Guide, by creating a common ground for all institutions and clearly stating which measures should be applied to which information assets; As a domestic compliance framework, it offers very important opportunities in terms of managing cyber security risks.
