CyberArts CEO Erdem Eriş's life motto is; “Justice, artist rigor and continuous improvement.” With this motto, Eriş aims to touch the lives of as many people as it can and to be able to do works that will glorify these values together. Erdem Eriş says, “Work is an important part of life” and sees work and life as separate from each other: “If you plan your day and your life correctly, you can allocate the necessary time for your work, body, soul, family, friends and hobbies. Since work is in life; You have to do what you love and you have to love what you do.”
Erdem Eriş, who is fair, patient, values people and reads the future correctly: Emphasizing receiving feedback on what kind of manager he is and constantly improving himself, said, “In the light of these feedbacks; I can say that I am a fair manager who values people, is patient and reads the future correctly. My technical education background, the virtues that my parents gave me, the fact that I have a wonderful and supportive family, I love my job and the mistakes I have made in the past; I think they are important factors in my success,” he says.

From Aydın to Istanbul
Saying 'hello' to the world in Aydın in 1980, Erdem Eriş's mother is a retired primary school teacher and his father is a retired chemistry teacher and school principal. “We have been from Aydın for 7 generations, and my ancestors were engaged in olive-based agriculture until the next generation. I have a brother. He is also a lecturer in economics. Saying that I am married and have 2 sons, Erdem Eriş is a graduate of Aydın 7 Eylül Primary School, Aydın Adnan Menderes Anatolian High School, İzmir Science High School and Boğaziçi University Computer Engineering Department. Eriş explains: “I finished all schools with the first place until university, and I managed to be in the top 100 in Turkey in the university exams. A successful school life, being in different cities and especially boarding schools have given me a lot. All my teachers have contributed to me throughout my education life, but Lütfiye Ünüvar, my primary school teacher, always has a special place.”
From management to entrepreneurship
During university years; Erdem Eriş, who stepped into business life with his long-term internships at Denizbank and Nortel Network Netaş, said, “I saw during these internships that I am happy to use the technical training I received in the more outward-looking, customer-affirming aspects of the business. The fact that my brother, who is my manager at Netaş and graduated from İzmir Science and Boğaziçi Civil Engineering, is CFO, made me realize that it is not compulsory for people from different educational backgrounds to stay and move on a career path. Afterwards, I had the chance to work as top managers in product, sales, marketing and business development functions in both domestic and international F500 companies. My career journey in the ICT industry for 22 years; He continues with CyberArts, my company that I founded 4 years ago.”

We will experience even faster growth in 2021 and beyond. We provide services to very valuable institutions in Turkey. As a team with world-class achievements in its past, we are planning to establish our overseas offices in the near future, especially in order to carry domestic technologies abroad. On the other hand, we will support the domestic cyber security ecosystem more in product development and opening up to the world by investing.
We have become one of the companies that read early and correctly how the pandemic process will change attack surfaces and attack vectors, and how it will shape cyber security investments. Working for the rest of your life: Eriş, who never thought of retirement, states that a person can contribute to the institutions with different strengths in different periods of his life: “As long as God gives health, I dream of working until the end of my life and producing benefits. Of course, over time, I would like to be able to lead more than one company as an investor, spend more time on volunteer work and spend more time with my family. Music and Muay Thai
Eriş, who speaks English at advanced level, German and Spanish at beginner level, continues to play the guitar and sing. He likes to spend time in nature, camping in unexplored places where he can only hear bird sounds. Noting that he has acquired a new hobby with the caravan he bought recently, Eriş has been interested in Muay Thai for a long time. Eriş, who had the chance to see many places in the country and abroad, states that the Pandemic interrupted his travels abroad, especially: I love walking on the streets of that country, that city, and getting into different cultures and lives a little bit.”
For the last 5 years, he has been reading all-digital publications, following magazines, forums and news sites in the field of economics, science, cybersecurity, and books on personal development and history are of particular interest. Eriş said, “Until the beginning of the pandemic, classical clothing was standard and indispensable for me. Again, I like to keep this line in my meetings outside, but when I work from home, a comfortable sports outfit, even shorts and t-shirts in summer, is not bad at all,” he says.
