4TB Data Leak Alleged by Cellebrite

Cellebrite, one of the world’s leading brands in the field of Digital Forensic, has been providing solutions to many private institutions providing law enforcement, criminal laboratories, private auditing companies and forensic information services worldwide since 2007. Cellebrite is an Israeli company that provides services such as collecting, analyzing, analyzing and managing digital data. 

An anonymous source claimed that about 4TB of Cellebrite’s data was leaked. The vast majority (3.6TB) of leaked data was leaked from Cellebrite Mobilogy (the company’s flagship product). On the other hand, 430 GB of data was leaked from the Cellebrite Team Foundation server.

He does not yet know who is behind the attack. No cyber attacker or hacker group claimed responsibility for the attack. The technique of the attack has not yet been disclosed.

All leaked data is only available to researchers and journalists at the request of the DDoSecrets activist group. Two datasets are currently available on the DDoSecrets site.

Cellebrite, which has been attacked similarly several times in the past, has not yet made a statement on the allegations made.

Past Attacks

Cellebrite leaked 900GB of data in January 2017 by an unknown attacker. The leaked data included customer information, technical information about the company’s products, databases, and messages from government agencies in various countries.

In an attack in February 2017, it was reported that the attacker successfully breached the company’s security systems and stole sensitive data from its servers.
