The Big Game Publisher Electronic Arts' Valuable Information Has Been Seized by Hackers. 

Popular video game publisher Electronic Arts (EA) announced that important information about the company was stolen by hackers. EAGames, the second largest game company in terms of profit and market value in America and Europe as of May 2020, said that the source codes of the Frostbite game engine used in many games such as FIFA21 and games such as Battlefield, Need For Speed ​​and Star Wars were stolen. 

The news of the attack was first reported by the Vice news site and it was stated that 780 GB of data was stolen.  

An EA spokesperson said in a statement, "We are investigating a new intrusion into our network where a limited amount of game source code and related tools were stolen." said. At the same time, he added, “No player data has been accessed and we have no reason to believe that there is any risk to player privacy”. 

The company added that it has already improved security and that they do not expect "an impact on our games or our business", that law enforcement officials were also contacted, that the "network attack" was not a ransomware attack and that it happened recently.
